Jackson County Hate Crime Court Date Set
Monday, June 7, 2010
Contact: Public Relations Team
(877) KEF-5775 - Ext 1 (office)
The court date for
Cheyenne Williams (previous
press release) has been set for August 19,
2010 unless the Federal Bureau of Investigation
takes over the case before then and the
Assistant U.S. Attorney in London prosecutes.
If found guilty by the Commonwealth,
the people involved may still be charged with a
hate crime at sentencing under KRS 532.031.
The victim is not intimated by scare
tactics the defense is currently leading.
As noted by our attorney, several
irregularities have occurred in Jackson County
District Court which we attribute to victim
(Cheyenne Williams) intimidation. (previous
press release)
