Kentucky Equality
Federation is seeking to secure long-term
availability of domestic-partner benefits as outlined by
Attorney General Greg Stumbo. ![]()
» Kentucky Equality Federation will not make an official or unofficial recommendation on the percentage, or amount of the monetary consideration offered; this is best decided by officials at the Department of Revenue, Treasury, etc.
In his opinion on the issue of domestic-partner benefits at Kentucky universities, Attorney General Greg Stumbo stated: "the universities could elect to offer health insurance benefits to all of an employee’s dependents, or to use any other approach that would not involve the unconstitutional recognition of a legal status resembling that of marriage.”
» A person working for a company offering domestic partner benefits (as outlined within this proposal) could add their boyfriend, girlfriend, friend, cousin, etc. so long as the person is a dependant of the employee.
